1. How many rounds and matches do we play exactly?
All matches will be best 2 out of 3 rounds. This means that there should be two circles by your characters name. OO vs. OO. You will need to win two rounds to win the match. All non championship matches are best 2 out of 3 matches. So to win the set you must win two matches. Championship matches will be best 3 out of 5 matches, so you must win 3 matches to win the championship
2. What is the best way to go about finding my opponents?
During the divisional period section of the schedule we will give you 5 matches that you must complete within 2-weeks. The matches will be listed in your division section as well as the weekly schedule. The best way to go about playing your matches is to add everyone on your schedule onto your friends list. Then if you see them online just send them a message saying “Are you able to play our match” if they do answer yes then you just create an endless lobby for two people and send an invite. After the match is over you report the results to me.
If you are having trouble contacting your opponents online please let me know and I will send them an email.
3. How do I report my matches?
Both the winner and loser of the match may report the results but the only the winner is required. After the match has been completed you can send an xbox live message to RD CombOeateR, or you can email me the results at [email protected]. You can also post the results to our SRK forum or our Facebook group as well.
4. Can I change characters at any time?
Yes the format of the league is set up in the same principles as the EVO tournament. You can change characters at anytime however if you win your first match in league play you must stay with that same character until you lose. You may switch ultras between matches. These rules do not apply to tournaments as each tournament will have its own set of rules.
5. What do I do if I am having trouble finding my opponents?
If you are having trouble finding your opponents online please send them an xbox live message and ask them when is a good time to play. If they are online and are unwilling to play that is their choice. If someone is busy that is understandable, if someone wishes to practice more before there match that is understandable as well. But these things will weigh in on any decision if a forfeit has to be made. If you are having trouble playing your opponent please let me know and keep me updated, I will send them an email if needed and can also
give you there email if you wish to contact them that way.
6. I’m going to be busy for awhile and may not be able to play my matches what should I do?
People get busy. People have lives so it is understandable if you run into a situation where you are not able to regularly play your matches. If this situation arises please let me know so I can let your opponents know that you may not be available to play your matches. If you are going to be unable to play your matches for an extended period we will pull you from league play and set you aside until you are ready to return. When you are ready to return we will put you back into league play immediately starting at the lowest spot in the lowest
division.
7. How can I upload my videos?
If you do not have the technology to upload videos, but would still like to have your videos online please let me know. You will need to save all your fights you wish to upload. We will then meet up at a given time and you will create a replay lobby to show me your replays as I record them.
8. Can you explain how I become champion?
There are a couple ways to challenge for the championship of the league. The first and easiest way is to place second or third in the Elite Division during the Divisional period of the schedule. The #2 and #3 seed will play each other during the Challenge Week for the right to play the champion. The #3 seed will be playing from behind as if they came out of the loser’s bracket in a tournament. They must win two sets from the #2. So if the #3 seed wins the first the first set of matches beating the number #2 seed 2-1 then they must play another set of best of 3 matches. If the #2 seed wins the first set of matches then they are declared the victor and will play for the championship
since they were already up 1 game to zero. The second way is win a tournament where the first prize is the right to challenge anyone in the league.
9. What if I don't play all my matches
People will be ranked in there division based on wins not win percentage. So if someone plays all there matches and goes 3-2 they will be ranked above a person that is 2-0. I will only decide forfeits if I need to, if players are unable to meet up I understand and I do not want to put a loss on anyone's overall record. I will if it comes to that, but if people are trying there best to play there matches and are unable to play a match it will just be listed as a draw with no winner or loser.
10. I’ve messaged the person that I’m supposed to play and I’m getting no response.
Send me a message and let me know, we are keeping track of unresponsive players.
